Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician born in Mexico, was born to a family that was devoted to music. The music she grew up with was classic, old boleros, and traditional romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana loves tangos as well as opera, and various other dramatic forms. The mother of her child taught her to sing, but she began singing by Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. the singer was famous as a Mexican opera Tenor. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. As a student and young professional, she performed with numerous chamber ensembles and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the south of California. The group she is in currently part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo performing classic Latin American music at private events. Ana is involved in a variety of local projects, both as an instructor and performer because she is passionate about music and art. Ana was also a part of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher of The Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her singing her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill a love, in particular among younger people, for keeping this music vibrant.
